New massage therapist brings Lomi Lomi massage to Longmont
LONGMONT – Direct from Maui, nationally certified massage therapist Henry Howlett has brought the relaxing Lomi Lomi Hawaiian style of massage to Longmont.
Located conveniently at Hwy. 119 and Main Street, Howlett established a massage office within the Altitude Physical Therapy at the Prudential Building, 275 S. Main St. Suite #208 in Longmont. First-time clients pay $38 for a full hour of relaxing, professional massage.
Howlett not only is professionally trained in Hawaiian-style massage, he is also adept in a variety of styles including deep tissue, Swedish, sports massage, trigger-point therapy and specialized treatment of common injuries and conditions, such as post-auto accident recovery. He became nationally certified in therapeutic massage in Aug. 2006 by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
“What I’m offering to Longmont residents is integrative therapeutic massage which is custom designed for the client’s needs, whether it be deep tissue body work or a more light relaxing massage,” Howlett said.
The ancient, Lomi Lomi style of massage has been passed along through generations of Polynesian families. The massage therapist typically uses his or her forearms in a series of long, flowing strokes. Instead of focusing heavily on one part of the body at a time, the whole body is always in the therapist’s consideration.
Howlett graduated from the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage. He has hundreds of hours in training, and passed with the highest level in all six categories established by the certification board.
“Massage therapy is for everyone, from prematurely born infants to critically ill patients in the last moments of life,” Howlett said. “I want to make a direct, positive influence in people’s lives.”
Howlett chose to establish his office with Bob Cranny, owner of Altitude Physical Therapy. As a successful physical therapist, Cranny has had a thriving clinic in Wheatridge for more than 12 years, and recently established a new clinic in Longmont.
Massage therapy appointments are available on an appointment basis, in half-hour increments. Morning, afternoon and evening appointments are available.
Please contact Henry Howlett for an interview, photo opportunities, references, client testimonials or other information.
